A Alicia bargains at Craft Central One Day Fashion Sale - this Tuesday!!

If you're anywhere near Central London this Tuesday be sure to pop along to Craft Central's One Day Fashion Sale!!

Along with over 45 other designers (selling a mix of jewellery, clothing, millinery, accessories...) I'll be there with some absolute A Alicia bargains!! It's your chance to grab the last remaining pieces from last season at knock-down prices and current collection pieces at special (very!) reduced prices for one day only! And as if that wasn't enough, I'll be previewing the first of my new ceramic necklaces too!!

The sale runs on Tuesday 21st Feb from 12-7pm, perfect for lunch-break or after-work shopping, and entry is free!

Spring workshops!

So there may still be snow on the ground, but I've been busy planning some lovely spring craft workshops!

New North London venue The Step will be offering a special Mother's Day workshop and afternoon tea event on 18th March - you'll get to make a gorgeous bouquet of flowers using vintage fabrics and trimmings, while enjoying tea, finger-sandwiches and cakes galore - what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon!! Workshoppe is back, at Shelf!!

If you didn't make it along to the amazing Workshoppe pop-up-shop in Clerkenwell (or if you fancy another browse), here's another chance to shop the gorgeous selection of handmade goodies! Today and tomorrow (22nd-23rd Dec) only, Workshoppe will be guesting at Shelf's Xmas pop-up-shop at 13a Boundary Street, E2.

So if there's still some Christmas shopping left to do (or you got some cash in one of your Christmas cards!) head on over between 11am and 7pm!

Last craft fair of the year!

This Saturday (10th Dec) sees my last craft fair for 2011 - the lovely WeMake Craft Fair! This year WeMake is being held at the Battersea Arts Centre and, as always, will be crammed full of beautiful handmade stuff - there'll even be carol singers to get you in the festive mood!

Workshoppe opens today!!

The gorgeous Workshoppe design pop-up-shop opens at 1pm today!! So if you've got Christmas shopping to do, be sure to pop along between now and Sunday 11th Dec (it's open late each evening, so perfect for after-work shopping- see the website for times).

The line-up of designers includes Hazel Stark (who also curated the shop), Abigail Brown (who's gorgeous flamingo is firmly on my Christmas wish-list), and Elin Green (who's stunning wooden bowls and containers I've already mentioned to Santa), along with jewellery, home accessories, handbags and furniture!

And there'll even be wrapping paper (like the beautiful work of Katy Goutefangea above)!

And of course I'll be previewing some of my new Mountain Necklaces (below), part of my new range that'll be coming out early next year.

Workshoppe Pop-up Shop - 7th-11th Dec

I can't tell you how excited I am to be part of Workshoppe a gorgeous pop-up shop curated by the lovely Hazel Stark who has exquisite taste! Hazel has brought together a truly stunning group of work, from furniture to jewellery to handbags to birds!

As it's going to be such a special shop, I decided to preview some new work! Above you can see two tapestry necklaces in progress, and below a finished necklace complete with handmade ceramic beads and pom poms! This range of necklaces won't be released until next year, but if you can't wait, pop along next week to see (or buy!) them at Workshoppe.

Workshoppe is taking place in Clerkenwell, London and will be open from 7th-11th December, with a late night shopping party on Friday 9th!

I'm lusting after pretty much everything that's going to be in the shop, but top of my wish list would be one of these stunning wooden bowls by Elin Green, in case Santa's reading this...

Vintage Fabric Garlands Workshop at Oak Studio tomorrow!!

Just a little reminder that there's still room to book on my vintage fabric Christmas Garland workshop tomorrow morning (Tuesday 29th Nov) at the lovely Oak Studio in Hampstead, London!

From 10am-12pm, we'll be making beautiful pom pom garlands - perfect as Christmas gifts, and great decorations all year round - using a gorgeous array of vintage fabrics. No crafting experience necessary!

Not one craft fair but two, today!

Today is a big day for craft fairs in London - not only is it the final day of Made in Clerkenwell, it's also the BUST Craftacular!!

I'll be selling my wares at both (thanks Val and Sarah for making this possible!), and even previewing some new work (like the top image) at BUST Craftacular...

So why not shop handmade this Christmas at either (or both if you're feeling energetic) of these gorgeous craft fairs!

Dolly and Rhonda at Dray Walk Pop Up Market this Sunday!

Fancy getting your vintage on in London this Sunday? Well pop on down to the pop-up market on Dray Walk (opposite Rough Trade, off Brick Lane) and the amazing Dolly and Rhonda girls will do wonderful vintage things with your hair and make-up. They're even offering a 4 for 3 discount, so get your girls (or boys) together!

Dolly and Rhonda are behind the knock-out hair and make-up styling you can see in the model shots on my website, and also happen to be two of the loveliest people!

BUST Christmas Craftacular!

So the Christmas craft fair season is certainly getting under way, and it's time for the BUST Craftacular!! One of the coolest craft fairs around, it's run by the amazing Victoria, editor of the book State of Craft, which is another example of her exquisite taste in contemporary craft!

I'll be there, selling my wares, along with over 70 other stalls, so if you're in London on Sunday 27th Nov, head to Bethnal Green for some handmade shopping, not to mention workshops, DJs, cakes...!

Win FREE tickets to Made in Clerkenwell!

Just a couple of weeks to go until the amazing handmade shopping extravaganza that is Made in Clerkenwell!! I'm hugely excited to be taking part in this truly lovely event and selling my wares in one of their marketplace areas, from 24th-27th November.

Those craftspeople lucky enough to have studios in Craft Central's two beautiful buildings (near Farringdon Tube, London) throw open their doors to the public, whilst every spare meeting room, exhibition space (and sink room!), is transformed into one huge craft fair.

There's a huge range of work on sale, from jewellery to home-wares to fashion. My personal weakness being ceramics, the gorgeous little vase above was something I couldn't resist at a previous Craft Central event, from Namnam Ceramics (with flowers from my balcony and windowsill).

Old Fire Station Opening - 5th November, Oxford

A few weeks ago at the lovely Renegade Craft Fair, I met Emily, manager of the shop and gallery at the newly converted Old Fire Station - it's an exciting new arts hub for Oxford, and I'm thrilled for A Alicia to be stocked in their shop!
