Congratulations Lara!

One of my favourite things about making stuff for a living (apart from getting to spend most days sewing!) is getting messages from customers or meeting them at events. So it absolutely made my day this morning when the beautiful Lara sent me this photo of her wearing one of my Eagle Necklaces on her wedding day - I love her outfit and don't they both look great!!
I never fail to feel truly honoured when someone chooses to wear something I've made on such a special occasion, so thank you Lara, and congratulations!!

Clutch Bag Project!

As well as making myself a scarf I had the very exciting task of making my friend her bridal clutch bag! Her traditional Asian outfit was gold with red and green, so that was my colour scheme, I found a stunning vintage embroidery design combining a heart with shamrocks (her now-husband is Irish!), which I re-designed slightly to suit the shape of the simple clutch bag I made using organic fairtrade cotton, added a little sparkle in the form of glass beads and gold thread - and here it is!

Happy Hens!

I've been busy busy the last two weekends with two hen-party workshops and a necklace workshop!
Hen party number one (pictured above wearing their creations) were after something with a vintage feel, so we made pom pom wrist corsages and hair slides using vintage lace and organic fairtrade fabrics!

I have two open workshops, which you can book a place on, coming up on 4th July, so take a look if you fancy making your very own pom pom necklace or fabric flower bouquet!

Wedding Collection photo shoot!

A few of my favourite pics from last weekend's A Alicia Wedding Collection shoot!
I can't thank our photographer, Sibell, and our model (wearing dresses from her own amazing vintage wardobe), Martina, enough - they were both wonderful!

Photo shoot

Some behind-the-scenes shots from my photo shoot yesterday! My flat was turned into a make-shift studio and I had a truly lovely time working with Sibell (the photographer) and Martina (our model).
We shot both the A Alicia Wedding range and some new pieces from my jewellery collection, so there will be lots of lovely images to share with you shortly...
