Sneak peek! Photo shoot for the new A Alicia collection!

My new collection is almost ready for launch and Sunday saw our little flat once again transformed into a photography studio (with the help of a giant roll of paper hung in front of our book shelves!) for a fantastic model shoot!

I worked with such a lovely team for my last shoot, so I couldn't wait to work with them again. Sibell Barrowclough was behind the camera and the Dolly and Rhonda girls were in charge of hair and make-up! Our gorgeous model Agnese (an architect by day) looked amazing, and my lovely assistant Emily made sure there was a constant supply of tea!

The new collection will be coming out very soon, so watch this space...(and grab any sale bargains you have your eye on before they're gone!)

Organic thread!!

Okay, so a few spools of cotton thread might not seem like something to be that excited about, but in my on-going quest to make my work as eco-ethical as possible, I'm always thrilled when I find a new ethically produced material or, as in this case, one of my fabric suppliers adds organic cotton thread to their range! I'm also very excited about finding uses for the lovely wooden spools that the thread comes on once I've used it up!

Nearly there!!

I just wanted to share this little behind the scenes studio shot from developing my new collection - it's almost done and will be launching in a matter of days!! I'll be sure to pop back and let you know when the collection is finally up on my site...

LOVEBOX Festival!!

So this is the state of my studio floor after the frantic knitting/sewing frenzy in the build up to my first ever festival gig at London's LoveBox, starting tomorrow! I'll be previewing my new collection (not out until September!) and stocking some old favourites at the gorgeous Secret Emporium, alongside some of London's finest design talent.
So if you happen to be going to LoveBox this weekend make sure to pop by and check us out!

Photo shoot

Some behind-the-scenes shots from my photo shoot yesterday! My flat was turned into a make-shift studio and I had a truly lovely time working with Sibell (the photographer) and Martina (our model).
We shot both the A Alicia Wedding range and some new pieces from my jewellery collection, so there will be lots of lovely images to share with you shortly...

I mentioned yesterday that I had some exciting new materials, just waiting to become new A Alicia designs, so I thought I'd give you a sneak preview of some of the vintage beads and vintage kimono fabrics I'll be playing with over the next few weeks! Will keep you posted on the results...
